How Books contacted us to participate in the publication Creative Grab Bag. Author Ethan Bodnar created over 30 unique tasks and gave each contributor a task that was different from their typical work. Neon Gray was given the task of creating a collage.
This image is the result of our efforts. For our process, we decided to step away from the obvious initial ideas, and think about collage in its most simplistic terms. Wikipedia states: A collage (From the French: coller, to glue) is a work of formal art made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole.
Our collage is an assemblage of personal photographs pasted to laser cut acrylic shapes to spell out the word “sadurday.”
